Don’t forget to Share The Harvest!
With archery season starting this weekend, I just wanted to remind everyone to participate in Missouri’s Share The Harvest program if you can. It’s a win-win situation for all those involved and it’s easy to do. Just go to a participating meat processor and donate as little as a single pound of meat or the entire deer. The Conservation Federation of Missouri has increased their per deer donation this year to $75. That means that $75 of a whole-deer processing cost is covered under the program. Other local organizations might cover any additional cost so there is a good chance that your whole-deer donation will cost you nothing.
To find out what the processing cost will be, contact the meat processor you want to use before you get there. A list of participating processors can be found here: https://huntfish.mdc.mo.gov/hunting-trapping/species/deer/deer-share-harvest
As you enjoy the bounty of your success this season, take time to help out those in your community that are less fortunate. It gives hunters a good name and it will make you feel good.
Be safe!
Photos from Deaf Camp 2017
Well, Deaf Camp 2017 is in the books and a great time was had by all. The weather was fantastic and the temporary archery range was a pleasant surprise. We had several new campers this year and I believe we got a few of them hooked on archery. It’s always cool when the parents and kids start quizzing you on where they can get bows and arrows so they can shoot at home. Thanks to Tisha Holden for riding herd on everything and thanks to all the UBM volunteers that helped make this weekend special!
2017 Deaf Camp needs volunteers!
Okay, everyone, Deaf Camp 2017 is just around the corner and we need volunteers to help run the archery range. It’s a very rewarding experience and is always a lot of fun. Good news – this year we get to stay in the AIR CONDITIONED cabins!!! To sign up or get more information, please contact Darren Haverstick or Jim Pyles. Hope to see you there!
2017 Elections Results Are In!
The Board of Directors election results are in! I want to thank everyone who participated in this process as we had a record number of ballots returned. Lyle Shaulis and Don Orrell are our new Board members while Jim Pyles and Beau Johnston retain their positions. Why were 4 people elected instead of 3? Because there was a tie between Jim and Beau so Darren Haverstick decided to step down from the Board to make room for both of them. This saves the UBM the time and money of a costly and ugly special election. Please send your congratulations to these folks. I’m sure they will do a fine job!
2017 UBM Rendezvous Tee Shirts
We are now ready to take orders for UBM Rendezvous tee shirts! The color and design are what is in the photo. The price is $15 each and you can pick them up at the Rendezvous. We will have a very limited quantity on hand at the event and we WILL NOT be taking orders there. So if you want one, please contact Brian Peterson (417-331-1135, bpeterson007@centurytel.net) by JUNE 15th to place your order.

Changes to the website
Hi all! As you may have noticed, there is no longer a UBM forum link. That is because nobody used it but me and spammers and I really got tired of cleaning up their mess. So I decided to go with this blog format in order to convey information that club members might find useful.
I’m also going to be using this space to post event information until my programmers get the Events page working properly. Stay tuned…
