Rob,
It has been the last weekend in June for several years. Not sure bout this year but I'm sure our Officers will be along shortly?

Yeah, if I remember correctly from the squirrel hunt, we were gonna look into moving it to Marshall, MO and ask the fellers who do MOJam to help us out. I guess we better get cracking on that!

Darren,
That coat REALLY needs to be a "one of a kind".:D

Unfortunately, I missed the squirrel hunt this year but if the coat Darren wore this year is anything like the outfit he wore last year I'm sure it was a doozy.
That being said I think having the rendevous in Marshal is an excellent idea. John and I went to Mojam a couple of years ago and the campgrounds there looked top-notch. Just one guys opinion. TRW

Fine, if that's the way you want it! Just see if ole Santee Claus brings you any hand-braided bullwhips and leather dainties fer yer missus to parade around the house in!

Well Darren, seeing how I don't have a missus and I'm not Indiana Jones or currently driving cattle to market, I'm fine with that. TRW

For you, Tim, I was just gonna give a sack full of $100 bills but that's not gonna happen now.

Wow, this thread got off topic pretty quick. I can't help but feel partially responsible for that. Oh well.
Since we're off topic anyway, Merry Christmas guys. TRW

Hey guys, I got a call from Scott Hesterly, and left him a message when I returned his call.
If someone could post the dates and what will be required other than camping and some 3d targets?? I'll take the info to the jan meeting!! I'll get ahold of Keith Bishop for backup lol!!!
Darren ; Are the danties as colorful as your coat? Thong or full brief?? You know brain tanned is a lot softer for us guys with delicate skin.

Brad, the dates for the Rendezvous are the last weekend in June; whatever that happens to fall on.

So, Friday June 29, Saturday June 30 and July 1 Sunday??
Also, I can make sure we have a range of 3d targets set up. Will the club need to sell concessions? Normally we sell burgers, polish dogs, pop, water, simple stuff??
Plenty of camping room and a couple of hotels in town.
I can also get info from local caterers if you need for the big meal on Saturday?

We can set up a long shoot and running pig as well!!!

That all sounds great, Brad! I put in a call to Brian Peterson to see how we should proceed. As soon as I get more info, I'll let you know. Thanks for all your help!

I missed the rendevous last year . Just wondering was there problems causing a move or just time for a change?

There has been discussion every once in a while to look at moving the Rendezvous to another location.
Some thoughts in the past were to maybe allow members in another area the attend if closer to them? Maybe some would attend to just check out the new facility? Some will attend no matter where it is held if at all possible.:D There has been the idea of moving it around the State thinking maybe we may get more "local" members to attend?
We have been at Hermann for several years, I'm thinking 12 to 15 years? It may be time for a change? It has been good for the most part as UBM has the run of their facility for the weekend and we appreciate all the work Three Rivers has done for UBM!!
It has been held the last full weekend in June for as long as I remember. That being both saturday and sunday being in June BUT that is not set in stone and can change as needed.
Finding a place large enough to host UBM with targets and facilities with a reasonable price has been the problem along with the dates we usually held the Rendezvous.
It will be a longer trip for us to go from here but I'm excited and hope things work for the best!
Hope to see many of you wherever it is held!!

I know we have been talking about it for several years now. I think the consensus is that we need a change to maybe get members there that are unable or unwilling to travel too far. Also I think a change of scenery will revitalize us a bit. Some of us are going to go no matter where we have it cause it is a great get together to shoot a lot of arrows and sit around a camp with friends we haven't seen in a while.
I would offer up a great THANK YOU to 3 rivers for everything they have done for us.

Brian and I have been in contact with the club that runs MOJam and they are very excited about hosting the Rendezvous this year. Everything looks like a go at this point. Brian and I are gonna run up there in the near future to look the facility over. There will be a couple of changes from the way things used to be (no lights on archery field) but I don't think they will be show-stoppers.

Darren When you and Brian come through Warsaw on the way to Marshall let me know if there is room I'd like to tag along.

I've been to MOJAM several times and I think it's a great place for our Rendezvous. The last I heard, Pigs Gone Wild would like to make the move with us and provide the food. I don't ever remember our rendezvous going over into July, but I don't see where that makes a difference.
